Isaac is trying to sit up on his own - although this looks like I'm holding him up, I'm not. I just have my legs there in case he falls over, he's sitting up pretty well, I think! His little scream at his toy is really funny - enjoy!~

Isaac did it!
All Hallows Eve
Here's my kids on Halloween. We went to Mom's to Trick or Treat, and we had so much fun!!
We also did the Downtown Blue Springs trick or treat dealy where the local businesses set up booths for the kids. They also get to hand out little ditties about their businesses and why we should shop their. Here's some pics! Evan was "Optimus Prime" of the Transformers, Damien was a "Baseball playing Zombie", and Isaac was the classic pumpkin.

Happy 6th Anniversary!
Dan and I took the kids to a very expensive Great Wolf Lodge for our annual anniversary "vacation". I put vacation in quotes because it is usually just a weekend away. The kids had a BLAST in the waterpark. they loved looking at all of the animals, and wondering through the great hall. They especially loved their sleeping arrangements.

Aside from the Tornado Warning that Friday night shortly after our arrival - where we had to park in the basement with 200 of our closest hotel neighbors, some wet from the waterpark others just getting ready for dinners out. We were there for an hour, trapped like sardines -
All in all it was a great trip. The boys had a great time in the water park. Dan and I took turns holding Isaac so the other could go adventure with the boys - Damien loved the waterslides, Evan had a great time in the small kids part with the small kids water slides and the other small kids.
Evan is the child who never wants his head to be wet - but there he was, under the big bucket. Every 5 minutes that thing dumps 1,000 gallons of water on the heads of the waiting children and adults below it. Evan was one of them, several times. It was great and Evan can't wait to go back!

My 3 sons...
Ok, so I just posted a few pictures of Isaac that I took today - but then I got to thinking and decided to also post a little something about the daily occurences in our household...
First off, the eldest boys are taking to Isaac very well - both have become proficient paci-poppers. If they see the need in Isaac having a pacifier in his mouth, crying or otherwise, they are both very good at popping that joker back in there.
Evan LOVES playing with the bouncy seat and swing. Any time of the day you can find Evan turning the swing on, playing the music, pushing buttons, or swinging the swing in general. He loves "helping" when Isaac is in the swing. The bouncy seat got a taste of how big Evan is last night when he plopped down into it. He even went so far as to grab a blanket of Isaac's, sat down in the bouncy seat, turned it on vibrate, and leaned back to relax with his finger in his mouth. Gee, why do you think he's doing such a thing??
He got a few comments about it from me - and eventually got up from the chair. Thank goodness it was still in good working order when he finally decided to go get ready for bed.
Damien will sit in the back seat next to Isaac's car seat and periodically paci-pop while singing his very cute rendition of "You are my sunshine". He is quite the big brother.
Damien also held Isaac for me last night while I went and changed a load of laundry. I think Damien's biggest fear of holding Isaac is the very well known baby spit up that happens from time to time.
Damien quivers with fear over the spit-up - so scared it will hit him if it happens while Isaac is within a 10 mile radius.
As for Isaac, he is getting used to the sounds and happenings of the Campbell house. He's growing rapidly, so much so that I'm getting excited for his next weigh in at the doctor's office tomorrow morning.
My milk supply has either depleated, or his need has very much increased. So, I'm spending my days (and sometimes nights) at the ol' breast pump - hoping to increase my supply and meet today's demand.
Maybe I could look into some off-shore drilling...
Little Isaac will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, and it just seems like yesterday that he was born. Time certainly flies, however, I'm thankful that we are finally starting to get into the swing of things - and maybe, just maybe get into a routine.
School will start back up in a week or so for Damien, so that will help on the routine front - next week Damien will spend the whole week at home with Isaac and I while Evan will still get to go to school - and begin transitioning into the 5 year old classroom.
We'll go get pictures taken of all 3 boys next week too - it will be the first of many portraits of them all together, and hopefully will be pretty darn cute, especially now that Isaac doesn't have any signs of Jaundice anymore...
I'll be sure and post some of those photos once we get them.

Isaac Joseph Campbell
Yep, I had the baby!
My scheduled c-section took place on July 18, 2008. Little Isaac came into the world weighing 9lbs, 1oz and was 21 inches long.
I've not had a moment to do a blog about the wonderful birth experience I had, due to this poor little guy having Jaundice a few days after being discharged from the hospital. He's also had some fair weight loss, which had the doctor concerned. I'm pretty sure he's doing much better now, every day I notice that yellowish tint disapear more and more from the Jaundice. We weigh him as best as we can, with Dan getting up on the scale and me handing Isaac to him to see the difference in weight. If this is true, he's gained several ounces since we last saw the doctor on Friday for a weight check.
We've taken tons of pictures, and are happy to share them with you. He is a tolerant baby, already used to the sounds of the house and all of its inhabitants. Isaac would normally be pretty jumpy, as he was in utero - but he's already sleeping through the sounds of the vaccuum, his brothers yelling in their play, the dog barking, etc. I am very thankful for this.

My surprise today...
Ok, so this story may be kinda long - but it seems weird to me to have had a surprise shower at work. I am officially employed by Medical Records, but nearly 3 years ago one of the IR (Interventional Radiology) docs came to my bosses asking for someone from medical records to be able to go to IR and help out with documentation stuff on a few clinical trials he was starting to work on. He had a nurse already, but still needed a documentation professional to make sure the data was being submitted correctly and such. This is where I came in.
My bosses came to me and asked me to go and work in IR to help with the trials. I've loved every minute of it. I didn't get a promotion or a raise, I just did it for my own growth in my field. Medical Records was becoming redundant and monotonous anyway.
So, I moved to IR, and the folks in IR are all about doing procedures on patients, and the direct patient contact - which is all stuff I've never done. So, I come from a different world than they do. Slowly, I've learned - as they have too - as they are normally a very tight knit group who can be VERY hateful to others outside that group. They are very mean in general, so I've kept my distance - because I'm not used to mean people. We in Medical Records are very much customer service oriented, and are generally very nice to everyone. So, the IR switch was difficult since now I'm in an office with just me and the nurse on the clinical trials - and then the mean people...
So, skip to today...
Normally, when the nurse (Jaime) and I go to see the mean people of IR, I am behind Jaime. It is a rare occasion that I speak to them as a group when I'm alone. There's no reason for it really - except for intimidation - but I will talk to them one on one, as they tend to be much nicer that way.
Today, Jaime and I head out to lunch - she grabs my water and says we need to take it with us (which is weird cuz we normally grab food and bring it back to the office to eat and read msn.com) - She walks me into the break room of the mean people, and there are 5 of them standing there (the rest were in a procedure) surrounded by gifts and food. Patti (one of the nurses) says "surprise..."
I was totally shocked. I didn't know whether or not I should laugh or cry.
Everything they got, they bought from my registries - which is a FIRST! They all brought food in and apparentlly had been planning it for a few weeks. The only thing I could do was call them names, and thank them. My defense mechanisms popped up, and I said "You guys suck!" Yeah, way to appreciate it, right!?
I couldn't help it, I was on the verge of tears, and the only thing I could do was make some obscene comment to make the tears stop in their tracks. Now I will have to come up with some really wonderful thank you letter to all of them.
It is weird. It happened at lunch time, and I still am blown away by their generosity - especially given how mean and cold they can be. I'm even a little confused! One of the first things that went through my head as I walked into the room was "They like me? They really like me??"

Namesake.
Dan and I are still debating baby names for this litle guy that is to be born in 15 days from today...
The two names we are really trying to chose from are:
Riley Joseph Campbell and Isaac Joseph Campbell
So to help with that decision, I thought I'd "google" the two names and see if there was anyone else out there with the same name. Here's what I found:
There was an Isaac Campbell Kidd who was on the USS Arizona when it was attacked and sunk in 1941 with the attacks on Pearl Harbor. I thought that was pretty interesting... In addition, there's an Isaac Campbell who won a photo contest for a college last year.
As far as Riley Campbell's go there isn't much discussion on him. There's a woman named Jennifer Riley-Campbell - but that doesn't really count.
As far as a google search, Isaac has just come out into the lead...

I'm officially cooked
Welp, I'm 36 weeks or 9 months pregnant today. I feel as big as a house - ready to pop at any time.
I've actually felt a couple of irregular contractions this morning... or that could just be my mind playing tricks on me. But, it was real pain I was feeling in my back this morning while writing out our budget for the coming months. Haven't had any since though, but man oh man..
Here are some pics of me today -

Anyhow, that's all the news we've got going on here - The boys are rockin' at school. Damien will finish up summer school today, and get ready to start summer camp at Lake Jacomo on Monday. Evan is enjoying school at the Y still - and will move into a new classroom in August to get ready to gear up for Kindergarten next year.
As for me and Dan, we are just chugging right along, trying to get ready for this baby and all the changes he will bring along with him. We've still not decided on a name, but I'm sure we will once we see his beautiful face enter the world.
Otherwise, I'm working less due to my blood pressure spikes I've been experiencing here lately with the pregnancy. I've also been very swollen, especially by mid-late day. So, I'm off an extra day throughout the week, and am very thankful for it. I feel bad for Dan since I'm not allowed to do any heavy work around the house, he is getting the brunt of all of it.
I even had to go to WalMart last week, and used a motorized wheelchair to get through the store. I was glad I did, but it was mortifying while I was doing it. Did you know those things have back up beepers? It is just WRONG to think of putting back up beepers - way to add insult to injury!

The kitten drama...
Well, from previous posts you now know about our kitten delimma. Here's an update...
We've kept one kitten, but haven't been able to find the other two babies or the mama. We think that after we got the two kitties out, mama moved the others to a new, secret location - we've not found them since.
Here are some pics of our cute little Patches (that's her new name)...

So now we have Patches and Julia...

We've got babies!
Buster (the ever popular Campbell Basset hound) has been barking at something under our deck for the last few weeks, intermittantly. I've not had a chance to go see what the fuss is all about, but finally Buster was barking when Dan was home. So, yesterday Dan went and took a peek under the deck to see what he could see.
I figured it would be bunnies, but I was wrong!!

He found kitties!
Here's the mama...

We've counted them, and think there are 4 babies - along with mama living under there. They are about 4 to 5 weeks old. We've gotten two of them out, but the other ones are a little shy.
Mama has weened them, so they need to be cared for - as does the mama. Once we get them out, we will try and find homes (2 of them have homes already, one with us, and one with my friend Sammy)...
Here is the last one we got out - she fell asleep on my shoulder last night...

And here's a close up of her little calico face...

Do you know anyone that wants a kitty? The others are still under the deck, but we'll be looking for homes once we are able to get them out - if we can!

Damien's birthday!
Hey ya'll. It has been a while since I've had a moment to get on here - sorry bout that. BUT, Damien had his 10th birthday party yesterday - well his "friend" party. The family party will be tomorrow night at our house, I'm sure I'll have pics of that sometime this week.
In the meantime, here's his high school musical themed party that took place at Bravo Dance Academy. It was great - there were even high school students who acted the parts of teacher, Gabriella, and Troy who interacted with the kids, got them to dance and sing. It was a CRACK UP! My face and belly hurt from laughing so much!

27 weeks or 7 months...

So, now I'm 27 weeks and 4 days - thought I'd show some new photos of that big ol' baby bump.
I went to the doc yesterday, had my Glucose check and my Iron check right along with my regular doctor's visit.
Thankfully, I passed both the Iron and Glucose tests. The doctor says all is well. My blood pressure has even gone down from the last doctor's visit a month ago - yesterday it was only 120/64 - whereas, last time it was 130/80 - so that's great!
I've gained more weight than I've wanted to, but who's counting, right?!?
Anyway, all is well - Now, we just have to start getting those every 2 week visits with the doc - Also can't wait for that tax stimulus check, so we can finally go baby-gear shopping!
