We had Evan's first soccer practice tonight, and finally got the schedule we've been looking so forward to seeing. All games will be played at Hidden Valley park on Field #4.

This week...
This week has been a busy week thus far with us. We started off on Sunday attending Miss Emery's birthday bash at Chuck-E-Cheese's. When we told Evan we were going to go there, he said "Just like on T.V.?" I guess he pays more attention that we thought.
Emery's party was hectic to say the least, but you know kids love it that way. They all had a blast. Emery was great and in her comfort zone with all of the kids. Her goodie bags for the children were even striking of her personality - exactly what she wanted, chocolate pudding and pop rocks. An interesting mix, but my kids loved it none the less.
Monday was also fairly busy for us. Damien had a pretty good sized dental appointment. He has what is called "yellowed enamel" on the permanent teeth in the back of his mouth, three of which are easily fixed, the fourth will need to be nearly completely reconstructed. Monday, he had the three easy ones fixed, and sealed to prevent it from occuring again.
He handled it better than we thought he would - he isn't much for Dentists, but this dentist, Dr. Hemberger in Overland park, is great. They even have T.V.'s upside down in the exam rooms so the kids can watch their favorite tv show while getting their teeth fixed. I think that helps A LOT.
Tuesday was any other day, except we had a family baby shower for one of my sister-in-laws, Ruthann. She will be popping this baby out any day between now and two or three weeks from now. He is a big baby boy - the first boy for them - so it is great. We are very happy for them. I personally think this baby will be a 9 pounder - we'll see how close I am to the actual weight once he is born.
The kids and I had a blast when shopping for little Cameron Thomason - Damien even picked out some cute little socks for him. Eventually, I had to just stop myself from buying anymore - I had so much fun, but enough was enough!..
This was our week in a nutshell. I am excited for next week to get here, we have a lot going on then too -
Evan will start soccer practice next Thursday, I will have an Ultrasound on Friday to finally find out the sex of this little baby I have, and we will have muffins for moms at Damien's school! WOO HOO! Doesn't really sound like much, but I've been looking forward to all of them for a while! Oh, and Damien has Spring picture day on Monday at school, so that will be great.
Today is a snow day, again, so I am off to watch Happy Feet for the 45th time with the kids, since we are inhouse for the day. We will also be tending to our stuffy/runny noses, and couches - those couches don't get sat on enough, so we will have to make it up to them today. ;)

Pregnancy stuff
Yep, I'm pregnant. 16 weeks thus far -
Right now, I am feeling the baby move quite a bit, and loving every minute of it. I am anticipating two things with this pregnancy. First, that my kids and husband will be able to feel the baby move soon as I have for a few weeks now; and second is that I have a good outcome with my Ultrasound scheduled on February 29th with my doctor.
Since I work in the Radiology department at work, (actually in Interventional Radiology) where we have an Ultrasound machine to ourselves - we've confiscated it a couple of times to take Ultrasound pictures of this baby - first, we did it around 10 weeks, and then again at 12 weeks. We haven't been able to determine sex thus far.
Dan also had a procedure on his legs last Friday called the EVLA procedure (not sure what it means, the doc just kept calling it that) - but it's where he cauterized the bad blood flow veins in Dan's leg to make the blood flow the way it is supposed to instead of pooling at his feet like it was.
Anyway, the doctor handed me his pager just before starting the procedure and told me to answer his pages. He knows I work at the hospital and am capable of doing such, so I suppose he just felt the need to give me a task.
I answered the page twice, which were nothing more than a nurse reporting labs to the doc on a patient he had in the hospital. So, it was no big deal - no emergency - but I still felt as though I was not going to volunteer my skills to him, especially since we were paying him to do this procedure on Dan.
So, I straight up told the doc that he could, in turn, do me a favor - and tell me the sex of this baby! He was already using an Ultrasound machine there in the office to look at Dan's veins before beginning - all he needed to do was gel me up and change the depth reading on the machine. So, after the procedure (which went well, by the way) and before the doc had to go take out a gall bladder at Menorah, he scanned me.
We saw the cute little head, and whole body - we even saw where the legs meet the body - but could not see any dadgum sex organs!! ARGH!
This only makes me additionally determined once we have the official Ultrasound. I've heard people tell me equally their theories on the sex of this baby -
Honestly, I am feeling like this baby is a little baby girl. Don't ask me how or why, I just feel that way.

Dan's New car
So, as you all probably know by now - we traded in our Ford Windstar last November, for a 2006 Honda Pilot. After major thought and discussion, we decided it may be best to also trade in our paid off Ford Focus - for a better car for Dan... We finalized the deal yesterday, for a 2008 Honda Civic.

Hello. So, this blogging thing may be the wave of the future - making it utterly difficult to figure out and move forward with. Thanks to Miss Karen Downs, I am working towards having a rockin' cool blog that my friends and family can look at periodically and read my thoughts, keeping up with the Campbells so to speak. So, here we are.
This is a Sunday morning, and we are just hanging out at home today getting caught up on laundry, and random house cleaning chores. The boys are having a blast hanging out - we had Miss Emery spend the night last night, which was great fun for all involved. I think she had a good time -
Anyhow - Miss Karen also helped me with some videos that I have in two of my cameras and haven't figured out how to post online to date - so in the future, I may have some rockin' cool videos of the kids' events and other things that may be videotaped. My little photo camera also takes videos - but also haven't figured out how to get the sound on the computer as well as the videos. You are welcomed to check it out from time to time to see what's been posted!!
